Last week, Deepak Pant from VITO was attending the 7th Global conference of the International Society of Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology (ISMET7) in Okinawa, Japan (Conference ismet).

Despite being a relatively young society, the conference was attended by 226 participants from 30 countries. BAC-TO-FUEL project was presented at the venue

It was a busy week where Deepak Pant attended the ISMET Board meeting and the baton for ISMET president was passed on from Sarah Strycharz-Glaven to Annemiek Ter Heijne. Falk Harnisch became the new vice-president.
